Sorry but the dating sites will give you the day of production for alot of Gibson but with Strats, unfortunately. you'll be within 1-2 years.

Your Strat is 2006-2007.

Maybe Fender customer support can be more helpful.

Sure, you should be able to get exact dates the neck was made and the pickguard assembled. The 2006's have dates stamped all over them. But you have to take it apart to find them. (Write them down when you do.)

As others have sort of said, the manufacturing date of a Strat tends to vary somewhat from that of a Gibson. The thing to remember about Strats is that they are modular in construction...in other words, Fender doesn't typically make a specific neck to go on a specific body (unless you order thru the Custom Shop or something). In a nut shell, the necks are all made on one assembly line, the bodies another...the various "parts" go into various storage facilities and are assembled later. With my '96 MIM Strat, I was lucky in that both the neck and the body were made in Feb '96 but this isn't always the case...you could have a neck that was made in say March 2004 but the body was actually made in November 2003 and had been in the warehouse for a bit. Personally I've always thought that Fender should include some sort of "Date of Assembly" stamp but other than the serial number which isn't really specific, they don't (at least any information regarding the specifics of the instrument in relation to the serial number aren't generally made public).

Anyways, as has already been mentioned, the only way to truly date your Fender is to simply take it apart and look. Next time you change strings, unscrew the neck from the body and you will see date stamps on the heal of the neck and in the neck pocket of the body (and perhaps on the back of the pickguard)...this will tell you more about when your instrument was actually made than the serial number will.

Peace,
Jim
