Just pulled by 95 sambora strat from the closet and back into the rotation. Had a at GC do a setup on it and she sings again!

However, now I noticed that even with the volume down to 0 on the guitar, a signal is still getting to the amp. I pulled the plastic knob off and made sure the post of the pot was getting a full turn and it is still not fully cutting of the feed.

Any ideas?

It was not doing this before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can't think of what it could be mate, but what I'd do is replace it, I mean there are only 2 solder contact points, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Who knows, maybe I've bumped this post into view of someone that can help you a little better...

The caps on the tone pots may have come loose. This will turn them into straight up volume pots. Try turning down the tone knob if you don't do it usually and see if it affects the volume at all.
