Hey Guys,
I recently bought a U.S. Standard Strat HH with the S-1 switch, and I was wondering how many others are out there that absoluteley love this system. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it good or bad.

Took me a little while to get used to it but now love it. Gives a lot more choices in sounds to me. Had to learn to roll the volume back some to change to get the tones I wanted.

There is always the tweak factor with any new guitar, especially one with so many various tones..

I have a 2004 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Strat with the S-1 switching and SCN pickups and I think it is probably the most revolutionary pickup technology to come out in a long time. Next Strat I get will have the S-1/SCN's in it and if it doesn't I will put them in.

Hey Groverstunes. I just bought the same guitar that you have and wondered what your thoughts are on the sound. I seems to have a very soft and warm sound compared to my G&L.

Count me in as an S1 lover. A little something extra if you ever need to explorer the outer limits of your tonal spectrum.

On the other hand it ain't for everyone.

I find that I leave the switch "in" 99% of the time.

What a gorgeous guitar huh Vetter? The sound is incredible. You get such great tone in all modes. I get that warm soft tone usually with the button pushed "in" and I get that traditional Strat sound with it "out" and so many different tones in between. I love the neck pickup. I have never heard a neck pickup that clear with such great tone and yet so quiet, none of that annoying hissing. It's an amazing guitar for sure. Some of the tones with the button "in" reminds me of the old Gibson P-90 pickups. The locking tuners keep it in tune so well also. I sold a Clapton Strat to get it and I don't regret it one bit.

Hey guy's a newbie here, I have the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe Strat with the S-1 switching and SCN pickups as well,
I've alway's played Tele's, & Les Paul's, because I've alway's liked their sound, but when i tried this guitar in the shop i had to buy it 8) great variation of tone's.
I can get this great clanky sound (the only way to explain it) with the switch in, volume rolled down, tone on about 7-8, great tone,
I love this guitar :D 8)
