The ser.# is E821305, I was told it was a 1986. I am curious as to what this guitar goes for in VG condition. Thanks

You can get an idea from watching e-bay.

According to the Vintage Guitar price guide, the first run were made between 1988-1995, then 2003-2004.

a 1988-1995 on the low end of Excellent Condition is about $800 on the high end about $1200. That's based on the 2007 Guide, I'm trying to locate my '09.

1986 sounds about right. Pulling the neck and checking dates on heel of the neck and the neck pocket would nail it down.

As for value, I have paid as little as $300 and as much as $700 for mid 80's MIJ's.

I didn't Lose my mind, I traded it for this guitar.

My 2008 Vintage Guitar price guide puts your 1988-1995 Paisley Stratocaster at $1,000-1,200 in exc. condition.
Mine is an #E856XXX serial number, and I bought mine new in January 1989. Fender support puts it as an 1984-87 model year.
I bought mine cuz I loved the unique finish, but thought ,at the time, it is "ONLY a $@! model". I since have compared it to many other Strats and find it matches up quite well to any other Strat I have played over the years, MIJ, MIA or MIM. I love it, and will never sell it.
Pretty cool guitar, HUH? Kinda brings ya back to 1968 Man.
