bought my tix on sat, and I am takin' the old man for his birthday.
The most $$ that I have spent on a concert ticket in my life, but I think its worth it.
Yea Clapton was cooler when he did alot of drugs and never got hair cuts, but I am looking forward to seeing a true master of the Stratocaster in action, live!!! Anyone else going to see him? Anyone else going to the Omaha Quest Center show?

i'll be at the show in New Jersey. Saw him and Winwood last year at MSG too, believe me you won't be disappointed with the money you spent.

Ordered mine Saturday for the Houston Show. I even joined the fan club to get some better seats (front row floor, thanks Eric!). Of all the concerts I’ve seen, in 35 years or so, I’ve never got to see either of them in concert, can’t wait! My only question is, hey FENDER, does the EC fan club discount apply to this:

saw him twice. first was about 6 years ago in Ireland. Totally awesome. was front row center for this.he was about 15 foot away from me the whole time!

all the classics came out, sunshine, layla, cocaine, wonderful tonight, white room etc etc.

still the best gig ive ever saw.

saw him again 2 years ago. such a let down. it was a much bigger gig so he was further away. And during Layla and sunshine the sound system stopped working. so we missed two classics. clapton and the band wearnt aware of this as their on stage amps still worked so they played on. when he found out he didnt replay the songs everyone went to hear, instead the gig was cut short due to technical difficulties.

was so disapointed. didnt feel any love for his fans the 2nd time. was more like a chore, he was being forced to play but didnt want to.

i wont be going to see him again after that. hes given me one of the best and one of the worst gigs ive been at.

Saw him last year at Hard Rock Calling (front row, waited all day and went without a pee for 12 hours!!) with John Mayer, Robert Randolph, Sheryl Crow, and Jason Mraz. BEST gig of my life. The sun was shining, and I hadn't seen Clapton until.

I bought my old man some tickets for Clapton at Royal Albert Hall with Andy Fairweather-Low in May, and also some tickets to see BB King at Wembley (3rd row) in June!!! He's 50 this year, so I made it a biggy. And since he's the guy who introduced me to the Blues....

Nothing like seeing your heroes in person.

E.D.

You know EC mentions the Columbus show in his autobiography as one of his favorites.

I've seen Clapton a few times and I haven't had a bad experience. Top notch at every one. I was living in Detroit when I saw him one of the times and Stevie Ray Vaughn came out and joined him as SRV was playing in Ann Arbor the following night (I had tix for that one too!).

I would love to see him at the Hollywood Bowl, but am having a hard time rationalizing the cost of it all :?

I'm going to see him play here in Sydney in a couple of hours... this morning I found out that there were still tickets available (I had given up on seeing him this time around -- trying to economise like everyone else these days), and grabbed myself one on the spur of the moment. It's an "obstructed view" seat  , but as long as it's not also obstructed sound I should be right.

Last time I saw Clapton was about 20 years ago... a good show, but remembered mostly (for me) because the support act was Tommy Emmanuel. Looking forward to this... an unexpected treat!
