I have a Fender strat "VG" With a turn of a knob it will change the tuneing with a roland pick up without touching the tuneing keys.(Its fantastic)
I understand the tuneings but not so much of the "B" tuneing.
any input would be great.

I own a VGStrat myself. I haven't really played with the alternate tunings yet - but here is a Wikipedia article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_tuning - that has a list of bands and some albums that exhibit Baritone tuning.

Think of Baritone as "lowering" the sound - so the guitar is darker in sound.

The list of bands should help you recognize the sound.
