Post subject: just got my first mia std lake placid?

i just picked up my first american std strat in what i think is lake placid blue salesman thought it was diff. this strat is sweet I'm lovin it its the best feeling usa std Ive ever played great resonance to it the body vibrates quite a bit and the pups are full clear and loud and its got a nice chunky neck. price was $699 but i gave a flying v to a blues artist here in town and he bought it for me to replace my v that very rarely came out of its case. best part about this strat its a 1999 and its mint barley played at all.here's some pics am i right on the color?

That is sweet man!!

Pretty sure it's Lake Placid blue. I had an MIM just like it. Best colour IMHO.

Nope, its Aqua Marine Metallic.They discontinued that color on 01.The American Standard wasnt available in Lake Placid Blue.I had one just like it from 01.

I love that color! Always have. I worked for an m.i. retailer when that color came out and to say we were blown away upon opening the case is an understatement!
