I was browsing craigslist and came across this "strat of many parts." Do you think it's worth the $800 price tag? I'm not considering buying it as the 2008 Am St. strat i'm gonna grow old with arrives tomorrow. I'm just curious..

I'd avoid it. Theres no telling what that body is, it looks genuine but in far too good condition. The only thing from 64 about it is the neckplate (which also looks too new). I'd want to see the neckpocket before i shelled out £500. That would be my limit too. I see no vintage value in single vintage parts with replacement everything.

For $800, I wouldn't touch it with a 9 foot pole. Sorry, for $800 you can get better than a chop job.

Wow orville you have really sharp eyes. I didn't even notice the "3" was off center.

Nobody would sell a body from a 64 for 800 bucks. You could get triple that easliy.
