Hi
Does any body can explain me what is all about the Cunetto relics. It became like a mystery. i have read some articles about the Cunetto era (96-99) and yet can't understand what is all about:
1. why his relics are so expensive? (he made only the paint and the relic job! nothing do with the electricity or pups)
2. does his relic sounds better or just looks better?
3. how can i recognize his relics? does any strat who was built between 96-99 is a Cunetto? are there any signs that make the instrument a Cunetto?
4. What is the connection of John Cruz to the Cunetto workshop?
i will really appreciate your answers. Please help me to understand this mystery...!
thanks

As far as i can tell the cunetto mary kaye's were 96-98.
Fhop im pretty sure it was chris flemming who designed the baja tele.

One thing i did notice about the baja tele is that its balanced. You can switch between bridge and neck without having to adjust the amp to suit. The out of phase sounds aren't great but the other 4 are super. A few fret/neck issues aside its a great guitar. My only concern is that you may find it a bit neanderthal in the way it feels. The neck is like a treetrunk and theres the usuall non american fender fret problems.

Now is the time to buy 2nd hand mate. I can see things starting to improve as summer/autumn draws to a close.
