I am absoultly in love with the Fender Stratocaster American Vintage '57 Reissue in Surf Green. I would give a toe for it. (I would've said my right arm, but I'd actually literally give my toe and I kinda need my arm to play it). As soon as I stop sucking at acoustic guitar, I'm going to get it. I don't care if I need to dip in to my college money or I need to beg my rich grandma- I'm going to get it. I was first introduced to it by Panic At the Disco's guitarist Ryan Ross and now I think I love the guitar more than their music (exaggerating). Anyone have this amazing beautiful piece of art and want to brag about it and make me drool all over my keyboard???

I dont have one, but I have a strat with a 57 body on it, its the best year style IMO, nice comfortable contours. And Im definitely a fan of the V-neck profile, I can play that profile for hours without cramping.

I played the red 57 with rails bridge in the store and it made the G.A.S. list.

It's the Strat that is at the top of my GAS list - only have to save a lot more to acquire it

Hi,
I have quite a few guitars and I really like them ALL - ALOT. But it always seems the one I always go back to is my 57 American Vintage Strat, it is really nice to play and I have left the vintage 3 way switching (it's what I like) and it sounds amazing through my 65 twin reverb. You have your eye on a great strat, it is definetly worth the wait. And I like the surf green as well, in fact all the colors for the 57 are nice.
Good Luck and keep us posted.

I have a 1957 reissue in surf green. I love this guitar, It is by far one of
the easiest playing guitars I have ever played. And it sounds good too.
I play it through a Blues Jr. I have a tube screamer pedal for that
good classic rock sound. I also have a Electro Harmonix Metal Muff
pedal if I really what some metal distortion thrown into the mix.
Great Guitar well worth the money. :D
