Great Guitar, But i suggest you go test it and see if thats your sound.

My Guitar playing style may not be necessarily the same as yours just like Jimmy Page and Jimmy Hendrix do not have the same sound but there is enough room for both of them and they are both amazing.

So if you like the way it plays and you are getting the sound you want with it get it.

Hey StratHeads-

I tried out the LoneStar at GC and I really liked it. The Pearly Gates in the Bridge are very nice and the whole guitar felt comfortable. Its a good quality MIM.

I've played the older ones and they were real nice. From what I hear the new ones are as well.

It has a good price and it's sooo pretty! I'm seriously thinking of getting it (when I have the money!)

I own a 1997 USA Lonestar and love it. It has really started to grow on me in recent months after 4+ years of ownership. I say, go for it.

if you need a bit more power the mim lone star is a good choice.
i own a mia '96 lone star and i'm very happy with it. i see there no really difference between the mia and the mim. maybe the wood and hardware for the mia are better quality but i don't know. pups are the same.

Bought one about a month ago. Looked great, and sounded great. After I got it home, I realized that there was some fret buzzing around the 7th fret. After looking down the neck, I realized that the 7th fret was WAY lower than the rest of the frets. Not an easy fix, so I took it back the next day. Wasn't crazy about the neck finish, either. Should be smoother, IMO.

The last one I played was almost a year ago. It sounded good, but the HWY 1 I bought won out on sound and feel. Overall I thought it was a good guitar, just not for me at the time. Go and play some and see if you like it, you might. RK
