Wayne had originally played Stairway to Heaven when they first filmed the movie but Jimmy and Robert are notorious for denying their songs usage in films (with some startling exceptions as of late like Shrek 3) so much like many other movies they denied them. The makers of Waynes World then got a hold of Brian May who is much more lax when it comes to these matters and they secured the rights to We Will Rock You (they already had Bohemian Rhapsody for the movie anyways). What he plays is supposed to be a small segment from the ending of the solo. It ended up just sounding like random notes flailing anywhere with no connection to each other whatsoever which is unfortunate.

Oh no. My guitar has no official name, but I've occasionally referred to it as "my Excalibur." That's some official geek-dom right there. It'd be awsome if that came with a Pacer with a flamejob and red rope dispenser!
