Congratulations. I, too, just picked up an MIM Strat at Guitar Center. Mine's black with a maple neck. I love the blue, though.

Yeah i noticed that aswell when i got my Guitar all the prices are cheaper at the store then they are online i saw a Les Paul for 2,000 dollars but the Fender American Standard was still 1,390 but the other fenders were really cheap.

I am gonna start buying my guitars upfront instead of online.
