I know that there was a post simular to this one, but couldn't find it so I started this one.

I was playing my Stratocaster today and oh-my I was in the zone. I have been playing unplugged for a while but today I had the house to myself. I was pretty amazed with the little stuff I was tinkering with sounded really good through my rig. Kinda of a Metal-Blues hybrid. I wish I had been recording it.

It has been too long since I felt this way playing and it felt great! I encourage anyone who has not played in a while plugged in to try it today and let loose. I have had a lot of frustration going on in my life and the frustrastion was released today.

Thank you Fender for the avenue you have given me to vent my emotions and release them in a positive way. RK

I did the same thing this afternoon. Played a little 3-chord rock & roll on the Jazzmaster until my left hand cramped. It probably didn't sound all that great, but it was a good time. 8)

Hi RK: sounds excellent!

Now you need one of those digital micro-recorders specially for these very moments. When you feel the force rising, just flick it on and capture the greatness!

Cheers - C

I do this all the time. And a suggestion i'd add is to play as slow as you have to so that every pick stroke and everything you play is perfect with zero mistakes technically. No matter how slow you have to go to achieve that, do so and practice like that for a while every day. You want to feel every nuance and be in 100% control. You might be surprised what it can do for you after even just a few days of that. I got that idea from steve via and it works great for me.

thats the beautiful thing about playing, it gives you a release for an hour a day or whatever amount of time you play for. But all distraction just kinda disappears for a little while
