Hi I a'm actually own a mexican stat single coil and im wondering to myself which pick-up was better between Seymour Duncan Hot rails and Dimarzio Super Distortion

And the answer as to which is "better" has to do more with personal likes.... I have heard good stuff about both pickups.. :)

I like playing Blues so my MIM was upgraded with Texas Specials. I think it depends on the type of music you like to play to get the sound your looking for.

Don't forget that your amp has a HUGE affect on your tone. I like Fender tube amps because they seem to break up nicely when you find that "sweet spot" no matter what pups you're using.
