I've got the 5 way pickup selectors on my guitars, and obviously know the tonal differences of each selection, but I'm just wondering which position includes which pickups? for example, bridge and middle or only the middle. also, what is the difference between pickups running as a series or parallel?

1: Bridge
2: Bridge/middle
3: Middle
4: Middle/neck
5: Neck

Took me a while to figure out that position 1 was all the way to the right as you are looking down at the switch from above (i.e., while playing).

I'll leave the parallel vs. series to someone with more knowledge than me...
