Yes you could. All you would have to do is get a push pull pot, and wire the Pearly Gates humbucker accordingly. I believe it would have the 4 conductor wiring stock on this pup as it is installed, but don't quote me on that. With that said, I would say proceed with caution. Splitting it may not provide you with the true single coil tone you may want. I split one on a USA Lonestar years ago and wasn't 100% satisfied with the results.

Just take a look on Ebay, get a CTS pot. I think you'll need 500k tone pot. You'll need to replace the mid's tone pot (the second one). You just pull up the nob to split the coil. That is the simplified version. Check out Seymour Duncan's wiring diagrams on their website for more detailed info. A bit of research goes into this, mind you. Before you do any work on your own, make sure you know what you're doing. If you don't feel 100% on it, take it to a local tech you trust to do it. I always tell people, if you want to learn about guitar modding, get a $100 beater strat and practice with some junk/spare parts and a soldering iron on your own first. Again, proceed with caution-you don't want to burn yourself or mess up your new Lonestar.Good luck and do your research before you do anything to your guitar.
