My Strat is set up with ernie ball .12-.56's and is tuned to Eb. If I tune it up to standard, will the neck snap or will something terrible like that happen? :lol:

Gosh, I hope not! :cry: It will most likely stretch your trem springs a good bit. Is your trem blocked? I'm sure you realize a setup will probably be needed.

It's set up good for Eb, and I want to keep it that way. I was just wondering if I could tune it up to E every now and then when I want to play it on a song with my band. But maybe that would ruin the set up?

The bridge isn't floating, it's against the body of the guitar. But I still use the tremolo often. It has five springs in the back.

Tune up and check it out. I'm thinking it MAY be OK for a song or two.
