Hey Everyone,

I recently bought a KWS strat and I put together a video review of it over at OldToneZone.com. It's a little skewed towards players that prefer the SRV style of playing, so be aware of that if you choose to watch.

The basic points that I make are that the KWS strat is a good mid-level strat with some features that you'd normally have to get added on like jumbo frets, and GraphTech saddles. The thicker neck profile really helps with hand fatigue for this style of playing, and while the overall quality is not on-par with the custom shop instruments (and neither is the price :D ), I really enjoy playing it and it will probably be my mid-level guitar going forward.

Cool review, I didn't know that guitar had those features.

Have you tried one of the new Road Worns yet? What did you like/dislike about them? I'd be curious to hear your take on them. :)

Hello AnthonyStauffer,

Firstly welcome to this forum.

I'm looking forward to getting a hold
of one of those KWS's I find larger
necks easier on my old mitts.

I think the racing stripe looks good,
it's a tie with the two tone sunburst.

Cheers.

I just saw one of those at the guitar store where I bought the KWS strat. I picked it up for a couple of seconds, so I don't have any great amount of experience with it.

The only thing I'll say is that I'm not really a vintage guy in terms of that being a hugely important thing to me in my own guitars. I LOVE how vintage guitars look, but when it comes time to actually buy one, I would never buy a guitar just for the vintage look. But I completely understand why someone would.

How's that for playing both sides of the fence :)

I tried one, but not for any great amount of time either. I like the way the neck felt, and I like the vintage vibe. I'm sort of undecided when it comes to the looks though.

By the way I love your websites. :D

Cool, we rock! Out of curiosity, which guitar shop were you at when they wouldn't let you play that bass?

Oh, that explains it. I don't like Rockin' Robin's that much, they're way overpriced and not friendly at all. I like Guitar Center better, or Fuller's.
