Hey guys,
I recently bought a Squier Bullet strat just to mess around with while my main axe is in the shop getting repaired. its an alright guitar for $100 but id like to make a project out of it by replacing the pickups with some texas specials or hot noiseless ones and THINKING about possibly swapping the neck out for an american made one. The first thing i want to do is swap out these crappy $@! plastic tuners. Ive heard that i might have trouble finding some that will fit. even on ebay, sellers will say, "will drop right into a fender american strat" does this mean that if i just went out and bought some nice schaller locking tuners that they wont fit my chinese version? what do you recommend? other than to buy an american strat thanks!

check before the diameter from the borings and compare with the Schaller types you want to. Schaller types and meassurement you will find here:
