Daphne blue - it's easy on the eyes and smooth.

There is something about black Strats that has always spoke to me.

Actually, it chose me. The natural ash against the tortoise pickguard kept catching my eye and calling me from across the showroom.

Originally I wanted the deep red with a rosewood neck because I liked how it looked, but the maple neck 3 tone sunburst felt the best in my hands, so I got it. I go more by feel than paint, but I do really like the blonde and the 3 tone sunburst. But as for why I bought the one I have, it felt like it belonged in my hands.

I picked up my Highway one at an estate sale - but I could not resist that Saphire Blue Transparent. It haunted me....

Fender has so many great colors! My first MIA strat was white...I really didn't choose the color....I chose the price.

My current strat is a HWY1 that is black with a rosewood fretboard, black body as a tribute to CLapton, rosewood fretboard because I don't care for maple.

I recently picked up a white squier standard with matching headstock and black guard and hardware which is a awesome look!

I love the look of the brown or tabacco burst!

I have my heart set on a daphne blue 60's re-issue!

I have a blue one and a purple one. The purple one I got because it was cheap, the blue one I got because my dream guitar was a blue strat with a maple neck. My next one will be either sunburst, white or red. :)

Sunburst because 1)-i like the look best, 2)-i like to see the wood grain, 3)-seeing the wood allows you to msee if it's a 7 piece body or 3, 4)-bursts are all clear coat which means no thick undercoats.

regarding #4...i'm not a big believer in finishes affecting tone. But only within reason. i do however believe that when the finish is stupid thick, and having stripped several lower priced fender bodies of solid colors i can say that some are incredibly thick. And in those cases i DO think it can matter.

hhhhhmmmmm....nice Strat!!!

I bought my black '01 MIA mainly because of the price. It had a white pickguard on it but I replaced that with the white pearloid and put the dome knobs on and she's beautiful to me now. :D

My strat is the '05 tie dye model, as shallow as it sounds I chose it as much for the paint job as I did the smooth neck and 1-humbucker/1-single coil pup configuration.

I also had a hand in choosing the color on my Musicmaster bass. Since it was in such bad shape I had free rein on that. It's blue, my favorite color, which I chose when rebuilding it.

So I had a hand in choosing the color of both of those. The Montara came in brown sunburst at the right place so it was chose for me.

Hello Leonardcaster,

My favorite guitar color is green,
but yet, I have never owned one.
Color ranks pretty low on my list
when it comes to instrument accquisition.
Now if was a horrid puke color that
could kill a deal or if the price was right
I'd send it over to Ceri and have him
spray it green.

Cheers.
