I have a Fender Stratocaster American with a 70's looking head, the body is black metal flack. On the neck the S/N is ghost & to had to see, the F on Fender is damaged & there are parts of it missing. On the neck & body is 1C or IC MAR 01 can anyone tell me the year about or any thing more that would be great.

The body atleast was made in march 01.

I know it not a MIM do to it has a 2 bolt Bridge, not 6. The head is what been the only fun thing to me. When I got it for $200.00 from a Guiter Store, I could pass it up After a little T.L.C. & resetup it plays & sounds great.

It's so hard to tell when an axe has been modded these days. Without tearing it apart to get the dates off the body (if there) and pickups (if there) you really can't tell if it's all original or an '01 neck on an '03 body.
As long as it works for you, that's what's important. The 70's headstock could suggest a Highway 1, but the 2 screw bridge says otherwise.
