I've been playing a long time and I have owned many Strats, but I really love my highway 1 strat. I just have one question:

What is so special about the Alnico 3 Magnets and Reverse Wound/Revers Polarity pickups? What does "Reverse Wound/Revers Polarity" do? Is it "hum" canceling?

I will say this: All of my Strats sound different.
1. Green E. Capton has a really sweet "Clapton tone." (pre-noiseless)
2. Walnut stained home built Strat w/ rosewood neck and Texas Special PU.
Very SRV sound.
3. 50th Anniversary Strat w/ '54 custom shop PU. To me this is "THE Strat" sound.

Yes, the reverse-wound pickup cancels hum, in combination with the neck or bridge, and often gives a distinctly hollow, or growly, tone to the instrument, depending on the pickup combo and what's being played. I love my Highway One too. I tinkered with the setup and personalized it. Great sounding guitar.

Watch the video...that tells the story of the Alnico 3 and why it is so fat.
