*i guess the made in mexico strats are a bang for your buck

*and if you're lucky you may be able to get a american series strat on sale for around that price

^ agreed, possibly a highway one or a higher end mexican strat... the deulxe players strats are great guitars from my experiences with them... really though, like i say to everyone, play it first and make sure its right for you

i think i might as well put that signature and tell people to refer to it

I will primarily be playing led zepplin, ozzy, and a mixture of classical and rock. It doesnt matter about the neck. I would like it to be black, red, or some sort of white.
Thanks
P.S how much does a SRV strat cost and a 2007 Fender 50's Strat

http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/produc ... =100285454 srv strat is out of the price range as are the 50's series guitars

i'm also not so sure a strat may be the right choice for you... a humbucker guitar may work better or an HSS strat for what you play, but refer to my signature, if the strat gives you tones you are comfortable with, get it

well if you're playing that stuff i'd recommend and hss strat (or  maybe a les paul, sg, or if you want to stay true to fender you could go with a jackson)

50's - 800

srv - out of your price range :(

for prices check guitar center.com online

If you want to save up the money, I just bought a VG Strat. It is the greatest guitar I have ever played. It will sound like any guitar you want. The humbucker model is amazingly sweet as well as the rest of the models.
But if you don't want to spend that much, What I did to my 70's reissue strat was I replaced the old pickups with some Fender Lace pickups, but they had to upgrade the capacitor. I put a fender Red Lace in the bridge which is made to sound like a hot humbucker, and does, I put a silver in the middle, which gives me nice clean moderat tones, and a fender blue lace in the neck which is made to sound like a 57 style humbucker and does, it is very rich and smooth sounding. It made my guitar very versitile sounding. So I suggest buying like a mexi strat and doing the same thing.
