Btw, any comments or criticisms about my guitar playing would be greatly appreciated. I want to get better as a guitar player so if you see anything bad or good then let me know and I'll work on it.

One question.
Why do you want to change amp?
Excellent playing and a good tone, just slightly too much delay or reverb for my liking. Great command over bends and slides.

I'm just searching for something a little more. I guess I'm still searching for my tone. I'm not going to buy another amp for a long time, it will probably be five years or more before I buy a tube amp. I ask questions about amps so I can get an idea of what's out there and if I can better my sound. I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but I just like discovering new things about amps and guitars because I have very little knowledge of that kind of stuff. Thanks for asking though. I didn't use the reverb effect on my amp so it was probably was all delay. I was trying to coax a Gilmourish sound, but I'll tone it down a little next time.

Amps aren't like guitars particularly valve amps. The only way to get to know em is to gig em. My gig amp of choice responds and sounds far better at gig volumes than it does at home. Its not all down to driving the poweramp either. Theres a certain amount added by a 4x12 and the 16ohm resistance it puts on the amp and also bigger rooms .

Well done on the playing mate, its great stuff.

Darn. I was trying to show more of an emotional impact on that video. But I guess it's just one of those things that you just have to tap into.

Thats some good playing! I could kind of hear the "gilmour" tone in there. Not only can he play, but he has one heck of a poker face too! Wont see him posting in the "does your mouth move" thread. Good job bd.

I actually never noticed that. I don't make a lot of faces when I'm playing, but that's probably because it's in my room with no audience. I remember for my guitar class our final exam was to play on stage. I played and sang "Rockin' in the Free World" and he said I made a bunch of faces. I'm less nervous when I play on a stage as opposed to a campfire environment where everyone is really close or when a camera is rolling. My playing I think would be a lot better at a gig rather than in a room all by myself. Anyway, that's just me. Actually I'm curious to see how well other people play here on the forum. I think I'm going to start a new thread.
