If they really do increase prices I am never going to buy another strat at all I think those new prices don't justify the guitars on production..... there are endless brands outthere that will benefit from the fender increases..........

Go ahead but it's your loss AFAIC. Buy used. I except to see price increases in the used products.

Strange. In italy a Higway one it cost 650-700€ (828-892$) with the 20% of iva and the 5% of customs' taxes. For example: in the Fender's list my guitar (Classic '70 Mexican) it cost 978€ (1246$) and i pay it 620€ (790$). I don't now the reason but i'm happy for it!

P.S.
Excuseme for the mistakes but i'm italian

Bill

if you own the upgrade version of the
highway one strat from july 2006 to present
yes that does apply your highway one has gone
up in value. if your highway one was made before
july 2006 no it does not apply to you.

the upgrade versions - your cost $974.98 (musicians friend)
march 1st 2009.

Why would your theory not apply to before 2006 models? For that matter why does it apply to the new ones?
Value is what each individual believes the worth of a item is. Of course I am sure (alwaysstrat) you no what I am talking about since we have been told numerious times about the American Standard not being worth its cost. I am sure many feel the same way about the HWY One Strat as well. There are many guitars in that 1000.00 range that some may think are better then the HWY and I sure there are some that are not. But in the thousand dollar range its in new company then at at 750.00 and many in 1000.00 group are very nice.

it does, july 2006 to present
before july 2006 the highway one did not have
the ugrades it has from july 2006 to present.
the highway one is in the thousand dollar range
because - A - ITS ONE OF THE BEST STRATS ON THE MARKET B - ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE.
C - GUITARIST WILL PAY THIS PRICE FOR IT. D - THE HIGHWAY ONE
WILL ONE DAY BE A CLASSIC STRAT! and for us who own them know this.
and the list goes on.

Hey fhop, I no they added the word upgrades to them in 06 I was curious as to what all the upgrades were not just that it was done in 06 so I was hoping alwaysstrat would enlighten us.. It was a honest question as to what was done and why its better? When some say its the best there is thats all subjective as you no. Me for a 1000.00 I would tell some to try out the Charvel San Dimas just to name one. Like I said and I am sure you agree in that one grand range there are some nice guitars other then just the HWY One.

The beat goes on, the beat goes on, Drums keep pouding the rhythm to the brain La De Da De De La De Da Da Charleston was once the rage Uh Hah The Miniskirt the current thing Uh Hah Teenybopper is our new born king Uh Hah And the beat goes on , beat goes on

we live in a free country so go buy your other guitars for a grand.
i have played Chavel San Dimas nice guitar but i would not
own one. i have enlighten you you just continue to come back
with this CRAP! thats total opinion and what you like or dont like.
personaly and i do speak for others we dont care that you do or dont
like the highway one strat. i didnt buy it for your enjoyment in the first place. you dont like the guitar well good for you. i happen to find the highway one one of the best out there today and they are future classics.
