Not a perfect idea I am sure, but will the electronics from a squier, ( capacotors, knobs, pods, etc) fit in a Mexican strat body. The body is that, just the body. I already have a set of Tex Mex pickups.

Yes, but WHY??
It's usually differences in pickguards that cause problems, and differences in shafts and knobs.

well I said it wasn't perfect idea.

the thing is that he has a squier that we want to upgrade and I might be able to get the mex strat pretty cheap from someone.
