I bought another Highway 1 neck just recently from stratosphere on Ebay to replace the neck on my '08 Mexican Strat. The price was good and the quality was excellent. They are definitly the go to place for me to Fender necks and bodies.

Hop....If you havent figured it out yet, I believe everything I do and say is "brilliant"

Seriously, I do very much like my Hwy1 neck, especially since I paid $210 for it, and they are now selling occassionally for $300. More importantly, its just a nice neck, especially for a hack like me.

I've had a couple issues with the neck, as I've described....a little fret buzz. Its unclear whether that is related to an amature setup or real issues with the frets. Im going with many recommendations on these threads that suggest that its not likely to be the frets.

So, with that in mind, I do think both my Hwy1 neck, and my decision to buy it, are brilliant

Going by some of the prices I've seen quoted in other post I think you got a great deal Big Jay!!

Thanks!

If you're mixing-and-matching anyway, why not just buy a licensed neck?

Allparts start at about $200.

We shall see, cause the exchange rates aren't favouring an expensive purchase for now...

Thanks guys for the pointers. Actually, I checked the neck, and it's actually not a custom shop one, just a reissue neck. None the less, I still reckon it's better than the 60th anniversary neck in terms of feel and tone...

Edit: Looking at some of the prices, they are also the same price as a brand new one, especially those MIJ necks...
