First of all read your manual. Set up specs are in the manual. How to adjust for correct bow and string heights. This guitar is easy to set up. Just read it soyou understand how to go about doing it. I have the same model different color.

I haven't had to change the nut setup. The only thing I changed was the string height. I had to raise a couple strings otherwise mine was setup pretty well when I got it. The saddle on the E and A were a bit too low and buzzed at first. E being the 6th string.

Mine as well E and A are lower than the others its a factory preset i´m planning on taking one of the(2) shims out and see how that feels.
Any advices?
Thanks

Yes, I adjusted the screws on the saddles. Only had to raise it just a little. So you have shims under your LSR then?

Yes i believe that they are the two metal plates under the nut!?
Is it?

I´m still growing into it (guitar) the sss came out of the box perfect the action the sound everything, but the tunning when using the tremolo, in the long run it is easier to change the pickups on the hss without carving out body (more safe and less expensive) just change pups and pickguard and i´m set to go.
That´s the only reason(LSR nut) why brought this one home to tell you the truth.i know it´s very versatile guyitar guitar i wont say the opposite.
Because i use my LP for heavyer sounds and i was really aiming for that classic strat sound when i decided to buy this strat.
I´m gping back to the shop today and see what they say and set it up there, i do like the action a bit lower

Shimming metal nuts is a established method of adjusting lsr and floyd locking nuts. It could be worth using other materials of different thickness to get the height spot on.

Love them lsr's.

I looked at mine and it indeed has shims. I know you can buy them from Fender if you need to raise it or just make your own if you are handy.

Trust me you can use anything. Old creditcards, lollypop stick shavings, cardboard, denim, anything. They do nothing but lift the nut.

Ive used all those on floyd style nuts with no adverse effects. I certainly wouldnt pay for shims.

It is white pearl. Nice color. I was actually looking for a different color at the time but GC only had that color in that model at the store. l wasn't going to wait for them to get something else. Once I played it I liked the sound so I bought what they had. I have a black Gretsch and a red metallic Robot and a cherry stained LP Gibson Too so it breaks the monotony in colors.
