I've seen a lot of pictures of the Highway One Strat (S-S-S) in Daphne Blue with a maple neck, both on the Fender website and various store websites, but I don't see it as a color option. The only options are: Midnight Wine, Sunburst, Flat Black and Honey Blonde.

So do they actually make the Highway One in Daphne Blue?

I am not 100% sure of this. I think the color was on the 2006 model. I have seen every color highway 1 in the stores except for daphne blue. I really like the daphne blue with the maple neck. Add a mint green guard some aged knobs & pick up covers. Bingo!

the highway one strat in daphne blue was
discontinued back in january 2008. i'm
very lucky to have one in that color. i have
seen 2 for sale one in delaware for $1,200
it has been sold. the other one was in new jersey
for $1,000 and it also has been sold. keep your
eyes open thats all i can say. also keep in mind that
the highway one strat has gone up in price they are
now $900 to $925 some places havent changed prices yet
in march everyone will be at $900 to $925. good luck!

Hi alwaysstrat: it is Daphne Blue, is it? It looks rather like Sonic Blue in that picture. (Mind you, that guitar you see in my avatar to the left is in fact Surf Green, whatever it looks like. So photos can be deceptive...)

Whichever: very handsome. Congratulations on owning one.

Cheers - C

You can still find them if you look around . Lynchburg Music has them for 699.00 but I think they may be down to just RW.and Bill's had them last week at the store for 749.00. Maple and rosewood as well American Music has them for 749.00 with the rosewood. Just have to hunt them, seems they are all over the UK when you look on the internet around that 500. euro area. Whats that about the 750 dollar range? Ceri you may notice the one web page uses a sonic blue in its description but the page says Daphne when it opens.

Ha - so even the sellers aren't quite sure! We'll just have to use our own eyes and decide whether we like it or not, whatever it's called.

Looks great to me!

the highway one strat is with any doubt
concived on the old school strats.
the only differnce is the alnico III pu's
they are a little hotter and more versatile.
all in all the highway one is brilliant.
never would i part with mine.

Hay alwaysstrat it is a different neck from the old school strats the only thing vintage is the headstock style on it which looks nice. If people want the old school classic stuff they got to go with the classic series strat to get that 7.25 radius and the vintage frets and headstock. there both nice guitars though but I would say only one is old school. Either one has its place and followers .
