I am looking at buying a 1970's re-issue strat neck, with a large head stock and put it on my son's squire.

the seller says that Fender says the with is 1 11/16, with a U shaped neck.

I think the squire has a C shaped neck and my son likes playing that because it is not to big. Is the U Shipped very much different?

Hi aeliaz1: it's no problem to find an aftermarket neck to fit your son's requirements. There's a big '70s headstock neck with a C shape back on this page:
