I am so stoopid...I wanted all of the words on my tone and volume knobs to be parallel when on 10, so instead of pulling off the volume knob and putting it back on, I twisted the it until all of the words are even. Then I realized I may have screwed up the pot.

So I went to Barnes and Noble and bought Dan Erlewine's book "Guitar Player Repair Guide" (3rd Edition) to learn how to work on that stuff...but I don't want to mess with it if I don't have to.

Any insight would be appreciated.

you probably just spun the plastic over the pole the pot its self may not have moved at all plug her in and see how she sound also does the pot spin 360+ degrees freely if so you killed the pot if not it should be fine

You either busted the teeth inside the knob or you'll need a new volume pot. Either way, only a few bucks but involves soldering if new pot is needed.
