OK 10-4!

I love my Highway 1 Stratocaster. With that being said I do not think that you should have to duck when you state your opinion. The Highway 1 series is not for everyone.

If I could afford a CS built to my specs, believe your sweet patootie I'd have one. I am not a big fan of the MIM Stratocasters, not because of where they are made, but because I played a lot of them in the stores and they just did not have the feel and sound I was after (now I duck my head). I do like the American Standard and American Deluxe models, I just did not have the money for it at the time. (I went into the store with $440 and a P.O.S. BC Rich Warlock). My final sale price I payed for my Highway 1 was $440 and that BC Rich. My total sales price on the ticket says I would have payed $670. And now GS, MF, and SA want to sell them for over $800. I think I made out like a bandit (and I have one heck-of-a cool guitar shop I will alway do repeat business with). RK

Sounds like you made out with a good deal there "rkr." :D

the problem is CV voices his opinion on the highway one too much.
and personally for the folk who own the highway one strat by the way it
looks none of us care what he thinks. i dont care for the AMSTD strat but i'm not going to bash it every chance i get like someone else does here with the highway one. there are a lot of guitarist who like the highway one better than the AMSTD strat and for good reason. thats just the way it is.

I just picked up a American Deluxe HSS and it is fantastic. I personally dig the HSS and huge variety of different tones it gives with the S-1 switching.
Love the locking tuners and the roller nut. Playing it through a Bassman is like a sound orgasm.

That is a nice guitar you got there. It is the more veratile HSS with that S-1 switch giving you so many more pickup combinations. Enjoy that thing

i prefer strats that dont have todays bells and whistles.
back in the 50's/60's/70's/80's the strat did not have the S-1 switch
and some other things that mean nothing to me and a lot of other
guitarist. the highway one strat is a old school strat with a little
hotter pick ups in it. but all in all its old school strat. and the old
school strats have made some of the most brilliant music in history!
enough said.

MR.CV just left the sweetwater site
the HWY ONE STRAT is already $900
and if you read the creadits and comments
you will see the highway one strat is one of the most
sought after strats in the fender family.
i'm done and proved my point.

Thanks alwaysstrat for the info. I posted three weeks ago that Sweetwater had already went to the new prices but thanks anyway but if you hurry you can get some from GC for the 750.00 price still. And you are right I like to read the reviews from People who purchased. Human nature makes us want to think what we have is great, how many guys would say there Girlfriend or Wife is ugly when others just might? Same goes for Women about there Boyfriends or Husband. I think My Hemi Ram is the best Truck you can buy, I am also sure there are some Ford an Chevy Owners who think different.
Ich glaube sie brauchen nur zu wachsen eine handlung wie ein Mann und anschlag zu beginn etwas.
