I really like the Highway One HSS. Right now they are like what $1,130.00 Listing price? I would really like to pick one up. A couple of music stores told me I should by one in the next couple of weeks, because after a couple of weeks they said the price of the Highway Ones are going to go up in cost I think they said like 30%.

Is this true?

I really hope it isn't.

Oh so the price of it now is the price it is going to stay? Interesting, the way they made it sound it is going to go up even more than what it is now.

Funnily enough in england it was reported on national news today that we are in a economic state of deflation, not inflation. Perhaps fenders marketing/pricing people forsaw this for the world and increased accordingly.

Seems the new price of the HWY ONE is 899.00 now from 750.00 you sure dont want to get taken for 1100.00+ for one.

Yeah, I know but if you look at the .pdf on this site for prices it say $1,130.00. I know they don't sell them at guitar center for that price but you know what i'm saying.

OK so you talking Fender Sugested Retail. I dont look at that to often, no one pays that price because it just a sound good number so places and say this so much of sugested retail price. Sadly 899. is to much for that guitar as well. I prefer the Classic series at that price or even the Aerodyne for 20 more. The HWY ONE is a good guitar but I am just not a fan of it. To me it is just a striped down guitar that sells because it says Made In American now I will hear the raft of evil for saying that but am not saying its bad just not My cup of tea for that cost. I am now ducking for cover!

Yeah, that is the so to say "Fender Price" but they where telling me if I don't buy it very soon it is going to go up 30% from the $749 or $899 whatever it was i'm not sure. When I went to guitar center I played just about every guitar. Gibson's (LP & SG) Epiphone, Shector, Ibanez, Gretsch, and a whole lot more. Don't get me wrong I love Gibson and everything but I just like Fender's a little better, plus they are also feel a lot more solid for the type of music I play (Blues) don't get me wrong I will play other generes music and I will probably look at getting a Gibson but not right now. I really like the American Standard. It feels smooth. When I buy a fender I will definetly by something that will last a while, therefore I will definantly buy an "American Made." My only problem is I want something with huge frets. I really like the "SRV" artist series with the Pao Ferro fingerboard or how ever you spell it, But that is a little much (price wise) for only my second guitar. The reason I like the High Way Ones to me is because its got "Large Jumbo Frets" and it also feels great and feels solid to me. I love american standards but once again I like big frets (yes in reality there probably isn't that much big of a difference, the high way one probably has bigger frets even though it probably isn't much, but it feels like night and day to me') I really like how it feels and I like the wide variety that the HSS produces. I also love the finish, and that it will look awesome after it gets worn a little bit. I have yet to play a High Way one tele but I really like being able to have a tremelo or "Whammy Bar" what ever you want to call it.

There is nothing wrong with your logic that is what you want to do. Get what you like for sure. And you are correct the price is 750.00 in some stores still, the new price will be 899.00 so they where correct at saying buy it now at 750.00.

Now thats where we differ the HWY one is no where near worth 925. I think you get a better quality guitar in the Classic player series but I am just giong by the ones I have tried. There is a Holy Grail in every lot the fun is finding it. Of course I dint see why anyone would pay 950. for a Road Worn thats selling for even more then the HWY

Don't let anyone tell you that a FENDER HIGHWAY ONE STRATOCASTER HSS is not worth the money. It is the most versatile USA made FENDER out there. They play like a dream and you use your single coils for anything from clean to SRV or HENDRIX flip to the humbucker and play anything from AC/DC to thrash. I love mine and would have payed more for a guitar that good.
