Hello. Pretty sure you got a Standard, due to the headstock and bridge. I think. Either way, nice strat! 8)

That looks to be and american standard , unless someone did some parts change over . Does it have a small hole in the neck plate?
I love whatever it is. Blue over a red guitar in a New York minute and maple fretboard.

Yes, it is an American Standard. Bridge, Saddles, Headstock, and color all point to conclusion. Better than a Hwy 1.

The finish on the older hwy 1 is a see through finish, the head stock is correct but should have 2 string t,s, and the bridge should have vintage saddles. Looks like a standard or something else.

It is not a highway one, that's for sure. It would have two string trees and the six point trem bridge.

I have to agree that it is an AMerican Standard due to the tremelo on it. You just do not see 2 point trems on Highway 1's, at least none that I've seen.

Welcome to the Forum and that is a nice looking guitar. I'd keep it and play it for a long time.

What does the small hole in the neck plate mean?
Why is it there?

Its a access hole to the microtilt system. Dont concern yourself with it.
