I can't screw my whammy bar all they way into the bridge because the threads in the bridge are stripped. I took my Strat to a guitar repair shop and the guy told me I need a Bridge Block. Does anybody know what a Bridge Block is? What part of the bridge is the block? How do I go abouts getting one of these and approx. what is the cost?

Thanks

The whole bridge probably. If you've stripped the threads, there's not much they can do :(

If you turn your guitar over and remove the trem cover the block is what the strings go through and the springs attach to. Contact your local Fender dealer with the make and model of your guitar and he should be able to order you a replacement block. I have done this several times. It should cost less than $20.00 USD.
