does anyone know if Fender makes a model of stratocaster that has the large cutout body that you can fit any type of pickup you wish? like HHH or SHS or w/e.
Im looking to make a strat with an HH combo, but i cant seem to find any that are made anymore.

I don't believe they do. Sounds like something you'll have to do you're self. Be careful, and good luck.

So you want a swimming pool rout so you can do a triple fat strat. The only one I can think of right from Fender right now is a Tele the J5 Triple Deluxe.

Hi Josh2k69: sounds like you are thinking of the swimming pool route. Stewart-MacDonald sell unfinished bodies with that feature:

Fender have used it too, though my brain is too foggy at this moment to name you which model Strats it was used on.

These days most American and Mexican bodies seem to come with an HSH route, unless they are vintage reissue models. So you couldn't do an SHS configuration, but you'd be able to do most others. Always check prior to purchase, however, to be sure.

Cheers - C

Yeah man, thats exactly what i want, how the bodies come these days. I should have clarified that i want to use the strat in an HH config. so how they come nowadays should be good, just a new pickguard for an HH config. thanks guys! 8)

You used to be able to get HH Strats. If you like to buy a new one with two humbucker you can look at the Charvel San Dimas they are real nice guitars.
