Gotta say, don't understand a $950 MIM Strat!!! I'd rather buy a used one, put all kinds of nice goodies in it(trem, pups, nut, tuners) and still not spend $950. But hey, that is just me. I'm weird like that.

I played one a little bit last night. It felt okay, but I dont really like the limited options for finishes. The tele actually sounded better than the 2 strats that they had at my GC. The price is my biggest objection. For a few $ more, you can get a USA standard that you can road wear yourself.

Actually, you couldn't wear out an American Standard like a Road Worn. They have different finishes, and the finish on the American Standard is tougher.

I played one and I could justify $950 for it (if I had that much) if for nothing else but the neck. It felt great to me.

Really? I have a USA strat that has the crap beat out of it. Looks pretty worn to me.

Well, let's put it this way. You can't wear out an American Standard as fast as a Road Worn. Unless you try.
