Just got this last weekend, haven't seen much about them. The pickups just seem to be SCREAMING on this thing with the humbucker in the bridge. I had an MIM strat before and someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse on it.....so I took the $$ and bought this.

I love the feel of the neck, very smooth, good tones out of the Line 6 but I can see how sloppy my playing is, every little movement is picked up now. I guess it's a great training guitar besides I liked the look of it.

Just wondering what experience anyone may have had with one of these. Image

Those came out around the same time I started looking to get a Strat. I think sometime around 2003. I always liked them. :)

Yes, it's a pretty cool guitar. But like I said there's some playing adjustments to make from the MIM strat, every finger "glitch" comes through loud and clear on these pickups, they must be alot hotter.

I always have fun with my guitars, since I just got this I'm looking forward to getting to know it. The one adjustment I may make is to have the trem blocked, I don't ever use one and this bridge is very touchy, and since I play with my hand over the bridge I quite often get unwanted trem sounds out of it while playing.

That Musicmaster was my first Fender, the Montara has been a great guitar that I play more than anything around the house.

That acoustic bass is an AXL, I read that it was a "lawsuit" version since it is the direct spec copy of a Fender BG29, maybe someday it'll be the real thing!

Here they all are. Thanx for checking them out!

Pretty cool guitar!

From the looks of the Fender logo on the headstock, and the position of the logo, it looks as if this may possibly be a MIK guitar. The oversized spaghetti logo, and it's placement further towards the end of the headstock is consistent with both of my MIK Showmaster Elite guitars.
I could be mistaken about this, but this would be my first guess about where it was made.

I read that about the finish too, so it must be some sort of updated "foto-flame" thing. My only complaint is there's alot of green, my least favorite color. But I still think it rocks.

This is a MIK Fender Showmaster and not a Stratocaster, right? Or am I mixed up? The body and controls look like a Showmaster.
:?:

Everything I've been able to find has them listed as a Ltd Run Band of Gypsies Strat....? They were made for only the one year in two colors, this and "hippie blue."

You could be right about a showmaster but that's just what I read. Someone above here listed some specs. The body is a little "blockier" than the MIM Strat I had before, but it's still very comfortable and the neck is like butter.

Now if I just had talent to match the "special" nature of the guitar :D

Either way, it is a pretty friggin' cool guitar. The 'Band of Gypsies" line only makes it cooler...

Thanx, the neck on it is like butter, super sleek and smooth. The lack of fret markers on front make it look even better too.
