Hi All, I bought a used Strat a few years ago without realising it is different from a normal one, the differences are, it only has two knobs, the jackplug is at 90 degress to the body i.e. it doesn't slide in from the back it plugs in from the front pointing backwards ( I hope this makes sense? ) anyone know what this model is ? I think it was released sometime in the 1980's

Sounds like you have a 83-85 Standard Strat, what is called the 2nd version. From CBS. Probably have the freeflyte tremolo system, that means you have no tremolo cavity in the back. Please show picture.

Pictures would be extremely helpful here. you can run the serial numbers through the guitar dater project for basic info i.e. year of manufacture, plant, etc...
