Please excuse this stupid question but this is my first Strat........
Is the whammy bar supposed to screw all the way into the little hole on the bridge or is there supposed to be some threads exposed? I just bought the Strat about 2 weeks ago and I can't screw the whammy bar all the way in.
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If it's got a spring in the hole, then don't screw it all the way down. Do what you prefer.

I have no springs in my trems. I screw them down until they just start to tighten up then back it off 1 1/2 to 2 turns.

I didn't Lose my mind, I traded it for this guitar.

I use a spring in my trem. I coat it in vaseline so it won't fall out.
