I'm looking for a great new guitar in the $750 to $850 range. I don't know much bout fender guitars my past few guitars have been Gibson and Gretsch. I play rock and a little bit of country style. I've been all over the internet for weeks reading about fender guitars.
Any help would work. I was looking at the Jim Adkins JA-90 tele it seems to be built more like a Gibson but still has the fender tele look to it. I read that it was made in Korea witch kind of makes me think twice.

Thanks..

With the new price increase I doubt you`ll find a new MIA Fender for the money you want to spend unless you find a store holding one NOS. Your other choice would be a new MIM Strat which is within your price range and theres nothing wrong with a Mexican made Fender. Their well made and sound good.

I bought a used American Standard Strat with custom Seymour Duncan "everything set" pickups, great condition, Fender hardshell case and strap w/ straplocks for $700 from my local guitar store.

Thats IF you don't mind a used guitar. I played it a ton before I made the leap, I even got a better deal because I paid in cash.

Try a Deluxe MIM. !2" radious neck like Gibson types. Noiseless pickups. A great Strat.

Guitar Center is doing no interest financing on all fender guitars through the 16th. you can spend a few extra bucks and get a MIA strat, and not have to worry about paying interest on it.

You'll find nothing both new and American in that price range. Even the Highway 1's are more than that now. Save up a little more.

I really like the Vintage Noiseless pickups on these guitars, and the finishes are sweet.

Take your time and scan your local Craigslist, I just purchased an 08 MIA strat with the hard case and all the case candy for $650 plus a schecter omen worth about $100, Even got the black w/maple fretboard I wanted.
