I recently purchased a HighwayOne HSS and LOVE IT ...but the output jack nut is loose and very hard to tighten without scratching the chrome well. it is reference image#20 --output jack assembly on the diagram and part # looks like #0016352000.
what size EXACTLY is this hex nut and does anyone know of a teflon/plastic type of socket wrench that you can get to tighten the nut without using some half effective wrenching or hard to use needle nose pliers. that's what guitar center guys use here and the pliers scratch the nut and housing too much. thanks !!!!!!!

what you could do is take the screw of the plate and then get a wrench that fits the knut. The just tie it tight and on the bottom of the plat hold it with a screwdriver and you will be all set. That happened to my strat too.

Use a 1/2" nut driver.

Had the same problem with my MiM. I remember watching the tech work on that, he took the jack completely away from the body and THEN proceeded to tighten the hex nut. Worked like a charm! Although I need to get that tightened again soon... :x

Finger tighten the detached assembly.
Keeping your grip on the nut, you can twist the rest carefully to where the thread feed in.
