I want to know if any body has ever heard of the fender I series?

and were those guitars made in the us or japan

FENDER 'I' serial numbers I+6 digits were limited run made (not a numbered ltd rin, just I think a small number of 'em,) in '89 and 90. They were American made but made for export markets, much like the FN series, but apparently smaller numbers. Should have 'Made in the USA' stamped on the neck heel.
