hi guys!

I have most of the paint of my Squier strat. There is paint on the horns and around the bottom and top. 2 questions, how do I get that off without damaginf the shape, and if I just rough it up a little can I paint over the top of it? I want to paint it black and do some light relicing to it. Also, does fender offer replacement decals? I sanded the coating off so I could apply a tinted amber finish to it and I would really like to put a logo back on it.

Thanks!!

Fender dont supply logo's.
I used a section of a broom handle with sandpaper wrapped around and taped to it. Its still hard work though, I advise nitromors and patience to strip that area.

Actually Fender does supply some logos, if you can prove you have a genuine Fender. I don't know whether or not you can get a Squier decal, but you can certainly take it up with the dealer where you bought it.

What you CAN'T get is a "Fender Stratocaster" logo to put on a Squier guitar.

To remove Poly finishes, I use a heat gun, and a putty knife. You have to be careful, but I never ever use a solvent, and i have never gouged or scorched the wood, which seems to be the problems people run into.
