My main guitar is an American Strat with Dimarzio Area pickups. Love it.

My extra guitar is the Telecaster FMT (with the Seymour Duncan humbuckers). I'm pretty fond of this guitar, too.

But...

I'm thinking it might be interesting to put a pair of the new P-Rail pickups (Seymour Duncan) in a MIM, so I have a backup/alternative guitar to my Strat that shares it's overall feel (and tremelo).

Otherwise, maybe build a custom using Warmoth parts. Either way, we're talking a Strat with P-rails, offering all that the P-Rails appear to offer.

By the way, that's: single coil rail, P-90, and humbucker in both the neck and bridge position. And of course, the pickups are reverse wound from each other so they should offer some quack in both the rail and P-90 positions.

Anybody here tried the P-Rails. Any thoughts on this project?
