I have one of his signature Kramer Teles and would love for Fender to do a Mick Mars Signature Stratocaster. Most people know him only for his big hair metal riffs with the Crue, but he is really a slow hand blues guy at heart. If you take the time to really listen to his playing, you will discover that he has monster tone and a very unique style.

Example:

He is very respected by his peers and the guys at Fender love him enough to ask him to the Fender booth at NAMM every year.

And for those of you who say they have never heard of Mick Mars..........

Reading this old 2009 thread was interesting now that it is 2017. Mick Mars is an interesting guitarist. In the metal gods of the day, he was never in that inner circle -- at least in my perception. As a an individual that was never a big Crue fan, it was seeing him play live in later years that eventually won me over to his abilities. He is a very good guitarist, especially his trem and rhythm. Really ... and even more so in this day where new music fans are clinging to old acts for their music. But back to this thread, some of the old posts were so pissy. And I am (very surprising to me) unfortunately responsible for some of them. Apologies for that ...
