Hi All!

I am a beginner and recently bought a Fender at a store.
My friend says that I should have gotten a strap and a pointed switch knob in the case. Is this true!!??? I didn't get either in my package and am wondering if these items should have been included?????

Thanks for reply!! I meant the knob doo dad that covers the stick where you can change the pick up on the guitar it has like three or four settings.

The model I bought is a a Fender (E) Amer Std Strat

Oh, yes the "doo dad" he is referring to is probably the little plastic thing on the end of the pickup selector switch, but i don't remember my guitar coming with one of them in the case, as it was already on the guitar

My STRAT came with some crappy gig bag, a strap and some picks.

I'm pretty sure the Am Std. Strats are supposed to contain all the things belphedeus stated.

According to the Specs for an American Standard it should come with:

Fender/SKB® Case, Cable, Strap, Polishing Cloth

The Switch cap or doo dad should have been on the guitar

Lots of shops remove the DooDad and put it in the case to keep people from swiping them.
