I am having a problem finding a wiring diagram for what i want to do.
I have a Hum/SC(stacked 4 wire)/Hum guitar that I wnat to wire with a 3 way blade switch.
I would like first position to be just bridge hum, 2nd just single, and 3rd just neck hum. I found the dave murray wiring, but he has 2 tone.
I have 1 vol, 1 tone. If anyone has any help I would appreciate it.

Can you please link/post where you found the Dave Murray wiring?

I'm building a DM strat and Ive been searching for (but havent found) any schematics or diagrams.

I was hopeful when I found this on Fender's site ( http://www.fender.com/support/wiring_diagrams_parts_lists.php ) but because I'm looking for it (and the universe loves to screw me), Dave Murrays strat is not listed. :(

Thanks!

ORC

EDIT: Dammit, just noticed the OP was from '09... nevermind. (sigh)

Wire the blade switch the same way with the pickups. Disregard and do not connect any wires on that diagram you are reading from regarding the tone pots.

Now, with your one tone pot: With the shaft facing downward and the three terminals facing you, solder the middle terminal to the can of the pot (you are grounding it). Solder your capacitor from the right terminal of the tone pot to the left terminal on the volume pot. (This left terminal of the volume pot should also have the wire coming from the blade switch.) The left leg on your tone pot is not used.

From the middle leg of your volume pot, solder a wire to the positive terminal of your output jack.

Solder the right terminal of your volume pot to the can. From the negative terminal of your output jack AND the claw of your tremolo, solder a wire from each to the back of your volume pot. (These are all grounds too.)

Solder a ground wire from the back of your tone pot to the back of your volume pot.

That's it.

Follow the wiring diagram for a '57 American Vintage Stratocaster:

http://www.fender.com/support/diagrams/ ... 02BPg2.pdf

EXCEPT for your tone control. On the one side of the switch there is an empty lug, then the next 2 lugs go to seperate tone controls. If you run a jumper across those 3 lugs then down to your single tone control pot you will have tone control for all 3 pickups.
