I just bought my 1st new Strat and am on this site looking for the serial number registration for warranty...

Am I missing something, because I dont see it.

Do you need to register your serial number, no. It will help you in the long run. As mentioned above it will help with insurance purposes. It will also help you out if there is a defect that is covered under the warranty to be repaired. Especially if the place you bought it does not have a licensed Fender repair person on site.
